Saloon cars seat 4 passengers comfortably, or 5 with less comfort for the rear passengers, depending whether you choose the budget class or luxury. They are suitable for Tours in urban areas on surfaced roads only.

Mini-busses accommodate 6 passengers with comfort or up to 10 maximum. They are generally highly prices, but compare well on p.person basis. There application is equally limited to urban areas and surfaced roads.

SUV'S - Sports Utility Vehicles are well suited for 4 passengers on long journeys, but some can shuttle up to 7 people. Obviously luxury is associated with higher prices, but you can go any where, provided you do not damage the car.

4WD are limited to the conveyance of 5 passengers, because of the supplies and equipment which is required for Safaris and Expeditions. Prices vary depending on make and model. They are reliable and capable vehicles which require experience and driving skill, but can also be employed on surfaced roads in urban areas.

Equipment for safaris and expeditions will be provided with the vehicles. This includes the necessities for camping i.e. sleeping, seating, cooking & washing, but excludes any consumable supplies, extra fuel and water. We will provide packing lists for your assistance. Shopping opportunities are good.

Insurance All rented cars are covered in terms of the rental company policy. It is however a requirement to arrange your private travel insurance to cover you for accident, medical, repatriation, luggage and legal assistance. Please also refer to the Terms & Conditions of Sabonamza.

Health and Medical services are generally good, but may be limited depending on the country of visit. Malaria and water are not a problem in the southern areas, but risks exist the further North you go into Africa.

Safety and security is as good as anywhere provided you are pro-active about it.
